Hi! I'm Michael, owner and main photographer at aKaiserPhoto. I fell in love with capturing weddings back in 2013 when I was asked to cover for another photographer last minute. I of course at that time had no clue what I was doing. BUT... I did realize that capturing the love between two individuals was truly special.
Since then, I've been lucky to have been able to work with so many wonderful couples.
Based out of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, I'm a huge fan of traveling, for personal reasons or photography in general. You'll always see excitement in my face! Whether you are having a small intimate (or extravagant) wedding here at home, an elopement in the mountains, or a destination somewhere hot, I'd be more than happy to tag along capturing all those special memories.

In 2020, I was proud to have been named Ontario Wedding Photographer of the Year by Creative Oceanic. In February 2021, I was nominated for the Aisle Planner "Show the Love Campaign" for different projects throughout the year. Also, more recently, I was a finalist of the Ontario Wedding Association Photographer of the Year awards in 2021. Unfortunately, those were cancelled due to Covid. Too bad I couldn't defend my title... But doesn't that mean my 2020 award gets carried over to 2021 and 2022 as well? (Kidding)
Despite the challenges that 2020 brought as a result of the pandemic, finding a way to use Covid to push through and forge ahead in growing my business was important. Not only did I find creative ways to hold virtual photography sessions and adapt my business to the changing times, but through determination and commitment I opened my first studio. Nestled in the heart of downtown Sudbury (168 Elgin St.), the studio is reminiscent of life in the Nickel City—full of heart, inspiration, adventure, and connectedness.
Self-taught with a sincere passion for beautiful light, capturing moments, and telling stories, I believe my photographic expertise and charismatic nature foster an unrivalled experience that will leave you with everlasting memories. I am a fun-loving character who loves capturing moments on camera and telling stories through my work. It's important to me that my clients feel relaxed and at ease—even for those uncomfortable with posing for the camera. Like that familiar feeling you get when putting on your favourite pair of jeans, my goal is to incorporate a calming and reassuring effect.
I promise to bring an easy-going personality and sense of humour to every shoot!
